Another dimension to see Body and the World
Over Here? (10 mins, 2020)
In a city, people flow ceaselessly, like rivers. She says…but, stops short.
Masks. No, they are not untouchable. They are on your face, or in your face?
Across the overpass, drifting around the corners of the world, she and he step into a rapidly changing dream. They wait at the airport, seeing the surge of time and space.
Can the spoon catch the tears? It stays on the spine, reflecting light.
The melodica is played again and again. Spume move gently along the shore.
What is Flowing ? What is Moving?

Moon Paradox I (2 mins, 2019)
A short-haired girl looks up to the depth of the universe, overlapped with the moonlight.
She thinks everyone have their own arguments to find the complete relationship. No matter where they stand or move towards the future, they will break through the plane's perspective.
The conflict of contradictions creates an agitated desire. On the slope, they are full of vitality to love the different states of the sphere.
Deliberately entering the world of another person (Vipassana), there is a condensed and unbalanced insight between two people.
We all know that the moon is three-dimensional, but is her insinuation flexible?
At this time, you ask me, who is in the incomplete second, who is consuming the dark red, or releasing the moist bright yellow?

Director statement for the Moon Paradox I
ZZ has danced in 11 countries over the past 4 years. Another Day on The Moon is a long-term dance art project, has been developing in Paris, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong and continuing…
Dance is artistic and technical. The environment is physical and psychological. A sphere can be between people and the world, a small universe.
The streets of strange cities are dangerous spaces. Every stranger passing by enters and then withdraws from other’s world. What is the action of neurons in the short docking of sight? What kind of interpersonal relationship has been created? Is some kind of empathy condensed?
Another concrete example: she practiced on uneven land, outside the Paris Museum of Technology and Industry, which imposed restrictions on the human body. Land is not deliberate, it is people who are in it and create restrictions on themselves. The process takes place under the control of technology. There are countless variations in technology and nature, between people and the world. The time and space, from limited to infinite, extend beyond.
ZZ did not escape from fear. She calls herself a Flaneur. She seeks her relationship with the world in multiple identities. She is Zelia ZZ TAN from Mainland China, living in Hong Kong now, but also a citizen of the World. She keeps reflecting, practicing and articulating new issues of dance in particular and art in general, on a daily basis. Her quest continues…
ZZ has created 5 short films. “Over Here?” was commissioned by Jumping Frames International Dance Video Festival 2020. "Moon Paradox I" was officially selected in 14 film festivals in 2020. “ Blank” was a finalist of the Jumping Frames Competition 2016. “My White” was shot in the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2016.
